Overview of current and previous presidents of EC-IPMI.

Lynda Si-Ahmed | President

Lynda Si-Ahmed is the Refining Group Business Development Manager at Metalor Technolgies SA, based in Switzerland, and has worked 17 years in the precious metals industry and 5 years into the base metal industry. With a Ph. D in chemistry and an executive MBA form HEC Lausanne, she held different positions into Metalor and has spent more of her career leading precious metal R&D projects,  managing strategic projects and actively working into new businesses development, implementation &  management including sales and marketing of PGM industrial products.

Previous Presidents

  • Lee M Hockey – Started his career at Johnson Matthey PLC where, in 30 years + he held many commercial roles reaching the position of Sales & Marketing Director within Johnson Matthey’s Global PGM Refining business. After leaving Johnson Matthey Lee spent a short time with Mastermelts Group of Companies. In October 2017 he set up his own business as a consultant to the precious metals industry in, with Hensel Recycling being one of his key customers. Lee has been involved within the IPMI for many years and was the President of European Chapter of the IPMI from 2021-2022.

  • Jonathan J. Jodry was one of the founding officers of the European Chapter of the IPMI, as well as an officer of the Chapter from 2013 to 2021. He also served as the third President of the Chapter.

    Currently based in Japan, Jonathan J. Jodry holds the position of Business Development Director for Metalor Technologies, a company he joined in 2009. He has worked as Head of Laboratories prior to leading the creation and development of new products and services for the company. Jonathan is and has always heavily been involved in precious metals trade and non-profit associations. He is the Chair of the IPMI Awards Committee and serves on the Board of the IPMI Foundation. He also chairs the ISO/TC 174, the technical committee writing all the international standards for precious metals, jewellery and gemstones. Previously, Jonathan served as Physical Chairman of the LPPM (London Platinum and Palladium Market) and represented Metalor as official Referee both at the LBMA and LPPM for more than 12 years.

    Jonathan got his PhD at the University of Geneva in 2000 in organic and supramolecular chemistry, before spending 8 years in Japan. He also obtained in 2016 two Executive MBAs from London Business School and Columbia University of New York.

  • Theo Keuter was one of the founding Directors of the European Chapter of the IPMI. A Swiss based Organization. Since the foundation he was a Director/Officer, their 2nd President, for many years and still today a Director. He is also a Director in the main IPMI in the US.

    He started his career in Precious Metals on May 12th of 1975, meanwhile nearly 47 years ago. After working for the French group Comptoir Lyon Alemand Louyot in Paris and in a later stage for the newly built JV with Engelhard, called Engelhard-CLAL SAS, he finished his career in 2003 as worldwide CEO and created his own Company. The Dutch Twin BV trading as Platinor and continued to serve the Precious Metals Industry now as a consultant.

  • Mike is founding member of the European Chapter of the IPMI and served from 2013 to 2015 as president.

    Currently Mike is a business leader who drives change and excellence by building best in class teams who are then given the freedom to focus on the markets and clients that Alfred H Knight serves. Work experience in a truly global business environment has given him the ability to form and deliver both global and local strategies. The execution of these strategic plans, working closely with diverse operational groups, has allowed business units to deliver strong top line growth, which combined with productivity initiatives, innovation and the introduction of new technology resulted in significant margin improvements. Strong cultural and corporate finance skills have allowed him to identify, acquire and lead the integration of several companies into SGS. This together with experience of optimizing a complex service portfolio and operational network has allowed Mike to successfully deliver acquisition and restructuring plans whilst maintaining the service excellence of the business.
